AI-InnoFOOD

Selected under Topic 1: EIT-HEI-2025-STEM-CAPACITY-BUILDING, AI-InnoFOOD supports Higher Education Institutions in becoming stronger drivers of innovation in green biotechnology for food and agriculture. The project focuses on building a more connected model for innovation and entrepreneurship capacity, linking institutional governance, STEM education, research valorisation, and ecosystem collaboration.

AI-InnoFOOD will introduce accredited, stackable micro-credentials and challenge-based learning to help students, researchers, academic staff, and professional services develop innovation, entrepreneurship, IP, and market validation skills. At the same time, the project will support HEIs in creating more structured research-to-market pathways, including innovation scouting, Proof-of-Concept development, TRL stage-gates, and Fast-Track commercialisation support.

By combining HEIs with industry, investors, accelerators, digital innovation enablers, and public-sector interfaces, AI-InnoFOOD aims to turn scientific knowledge into validated solutions and strengthen regional innovation ecosystems. Its results will be packaged into replication tools and shared through the EIT HEI Community to support wider transferability.
