EAS-EL
European AI Sandbox for Entrepreneurial Learning
EAS-EL strengthens AI-driven entrepreneurial learning across the Arqus Alliance by connecting a shared European AI Sandbox, responsible AI governance, start-up support, and EIT KIC synergies under Topic 2.
Selected under Topic 2: EIT-HEI-2025-BUILDING-SYNERGIES, EAS-EL supports the Arqus European University Alliance in building a shared infrastructure for AI-based innovation and entrepreneurship. The project responds to a key gap in university innovation ecosystems: students, researchers, and early-stage teams often lack secure, accessible, and entrepreneurially oriented environments to test AI ideas and move them toward viable products, services, and start-ups.
At the centre of EAS-EL is the European AI Sandbox, a shared digital environment for responsible AI experimentation, rapid prototyping, and entrepreneurial learning. The Sandbox will help participants test ideas, build AI-enabled prototypes, and connect their work to start-up support, mentoring, hackathons, and external ecosystem partners.
The project also develops a structured AI entrepreneurship learning offer across the alliance, supported by modular training, responsible AI guidance, EIT Label preparation, and cross-disciplinary participation. By combining technical infrastructure, entrepreneurship education, responsible AI governance, and links to 28DIGITAL, EIT Health, and EIT Manufacturing, EAS-EL aims to make AI entrepreneurship more accessible across disciplines and strengthen Europe’s capacity to translate university-based AI talent into market-facing innovation.
