ELEVATE-STEM
Empowering Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Valorisation through STEM Training across EU Ecosystems
ELEVATE-STEM strengthens inclusive STEM innovation capacity by embedding entrepreneurship, IP education, research-to-market pathways, AI-enabled readiness tools, and ecosystem validation under Topic 1.
Selected under Topic 1: EIT-HEI-2025-STEM-CAPACITY-BUILDING, ELEVATE-STEM supports Higher Education Institutions in translating STEM research and education more systematically into innovation, start-ups, and societal and economic value. The project responds to a persistent challenge in Europe: strong STEM research does not always move effectively into market-ready solutions, scalable ventures, or broader ecosystem impact.
ELEVATE-STEM will embed innovation, entrepreneurship, and IP education directly into STEM faculties, departments, doctoral training, and research environments. Through modular learning units, challenge-based learning, IP training, train-the-trainer activities, mentoring, and digital support tools, the project aims to reach large cohorts of students, researchers, and staff while building permanent internal capacity.
The project also strengthens research-to-market pathways through proactive IP screening, demand-driven knowledge transfer, proof-of-concept support, venture readiness assessment, prototype-to-pilot pathways, and structured matchmaking with business and public-sector actors. A dedicated inclusion track will support women and underrepresented STEM innovators through mentoring, role models, investor access, and targeted founder support. By aligning with 28DIGITAL and EIT RawMaterials, ELEVATE-STEM connects institutional transformation with European priorities in digital deep tech, AI, advanced materials, circularity, and strategic technology sectors.
