HMI2MARKET
Upgrading university entrepreneurial infrastructures for HMI
HMI2MARKET is aimed at transforming universities into entrepreneurial hubs for accelerating human-machine interface (HMI) innovations that promote inclusive employment, injury prevention, and social wellbeing in labour-intensive industries. Through shared regional R&D infrastructures, the project fosters market-ready solutions by empowering underrepresented groups—such as women, people with disabilities, and the elderly—to access Industry 5.0 workplaces.

The overall joint vision of HMI2MARKET for 2030 is to foster the development of sustainable, inclusive and digital skills-ecosystems in Western Balkans (and the EU) in labour intensive industries (particularly automotive, material joining, quality inspection) by transforming universities’ capacity to develop shared R&D entrepreneurial infrastructures for human-machine interaction (HMI) innovations acceleration that foster inclusive employment (women, people with disabilities, ageing workforce), injury prevention and social wellbeing reducing thus the EU-wide labour shortage in intensive industries (therefore strand A is selected). This will enable medium and long-term market-launch of innovations in these fields that will solve the large-scale regional & EU labour market needs. The shared entrepreneurial infrastructures will be implemented via inclusive ecosystem integration labs (IEILs).
