The Elevating Green and Digital Innovation in Higher Education Institutes (LOTUS) project aims to create a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem by offering continuous training, mentoring, and support for startups initiated by students, academic, and non-academic staff. The program focuses on promoting green and digital innovation, prioritizing sustainability through initiatives such as circular economy models, green digital platforms, and eco-friendly technologies. Central to the program is the commitment to advancing women’s entrepreneurship, providing specialized mentorship and leadership development to ensure a gender-balanced entrepreneurial environment. The project will focus on upskilling students in digital and green entrepreneurship and reskilling academic and non-academic staff to support sustainable startups. A diverse pool of mentors from business, sustainability, and digital sectors will provide guidance, with a strong emphasis on supporting women entrepreneurs. In addition, success stories and lessons from consortium partners will be shared through workshops aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the broader EPICUR network as well as other interested organizations. Ultimately, LOTUS seeks to boost sustainable innovation, promote gender-balanced leadership, and strengthen startup ecosystems across participating HEIs.
