The flagship event of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative is set to take place on 12-13 November in Warsaw, Poland. This two-day event will bring together stakeholders committed to skilling, upskilling, and reskilling talents in deep tech fields, providing an opportunity to connect with new stakeholders, companies, training organisations and academia.
Participants will have the chance to:
- Engage with over 350 members of the Pledger community, who will present their offerings and collaboration possibilities.
- Gain visibility within the EIT Deep Tech Talent ecosystem and beyond.
- Support an initiative aimed at training one million people in deep tech.
- Celebrate the winners of the EIT Deep Tech Talent’s Call for Training Proposals 2024 and the Deep Tech Trainer of the Year.
Agenda highlights
Day 1 will feature keynote speeches on quantum computing, cybersecurity, and AI from experts at Bulgaria, Riga Technical University, and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, along with panels on talent development and entrepreneurship.
Day 2 will focus on innovation in education with speakers from Barcelona, TU Delft, and Tampere University, and panels on lifelong learning, women in deep tech, and talent strategies. The winners of the EIT Deep Tech Talent’s Call for Training Proposals 2024 and the Deep Tech Trainer of the Year will also be announced!
EIT HEI Initiative at the Deep Tech Skills Days
The EIT HEI Initiative will play a key role in a breakout session on Day 1 titled ‘Unlocking the Deep Tech Innovation Potential in Higher Education’. This session will explore how the initiative empowers higher education institutions to drive deep tech talent development and become key players in innovation and entrepreneurship. Attendees will hear success stories from previously-funded projects and gain insights into how HEIs are training much-needed deep tech talent. Attendees will also learn more about how to apply for the 2024 Call for Proposals.
On Day 2, Rosanna West, EIT HEI Initiative Manager, will join the panel discussion “Funding and Collaboration Possibilities for Deep Tech Skills Development,” where she will discuss collaboration opportunities through Pledgers and KICs to further support deep tech skills growth.
