The EIT HEI Initiative is recruiting external evaluators (standard evaluators and rapporteurs) in order to evaluate applications for the EIT HEI Initiative Call for Proposals 2024.
Requirements
Who we are looking for
Experts are expected to come from diverse backgrounds, including industry, startups, civil society organisations or higher education institutions. Their experience should cover areas such as:
- Expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as in capacity building within these fields
- Significant experience in fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems and supporting the development of innovation strategies at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) or within the industry
- Experience should cover areas such as:
- Developing and implementing innovation strategies at institutional or organizational levels
- Building entrepreneurial capacity within HEIs, industry, or startups
- Supporting the commercialization of research outcomes and fostering knowledge transfer between academia and industry
- Promoting collaboration between industry, startups, and academic institutions to drive innovation
Scope of Work
- Evaluation of incoming applications as assigned by EIT HEI Initiative based on pre-defined criteria and using the provided evaluation template and IT-system
- Participation in requested meetings (consensus meetings, panel meetings for rapporteurs)
- Act as rapporteur and prepare evaluation reports

- Online Evaluator Briefings (you only need to attend one): 17, 18 December 2024
- Evaluations assigned to evaluators: 19-20 December 2024
- Remote individual evaluations: 20 December 2024 – 22 January 2025 (12:00 CET)
- Remote consensus meetings: 27 January – 5 February 2025
- Rapporteur preparation of combined evaluation scores and texts: by 7 February 2025 (14:00 CET).
- Remote Rapporteurs Panel meeting: 19 – 20 February 2025
