Introduction to HEInnovate (Call 2026 Info Sessions)

Join us for “Introduction to HEInnovate”, an info session designed to help higher education institutions understand the purpose and use of the HEInnovate self-assessment tool. HEInnovate is a free online resource developed by the European Commission and the OECD to help institutions reflect on their innovation and entrepreneurship capacity across several key dimensions.

In this dedicated one-hour session, you will gain a clear understanding of HEInnovate and how it applies to your EIT HEI application. You will explore how HEInnovate can help your institution identify strengths and gaps relevant to the EIT HEI call, align stakeholders, and prioritise actions for your project proposal. The session will guide you through the step-by-step change process, from self-reflection and stakeholder engagement to action planning and implementation, all within the context of the EIT HEI Initiative.

You will also hear directly from the authors of the EIT HEI-funded DISCO project, who will share their firsthand experience of successfully using HEInnovate to assess and strengthen innovation capacity across partner universities. The session will conclude with an opportunity to ask experts your specific questions about HEInnovate and its role in your EIT HEI application.

Whether you’re just discovering HEInnovate or looking to deepen your use of the tool for your EIT HEI proposal, this session offers practical, targeted insights to help drive your institutional transformation and enhance your funding application.
